Singing Beethoven
To celebrate what would have been Beethoven's 250th birthday, Laura & Laurent chose to interpret well known and lesser known Lieder, starting with compositions from his youth and ending with his very last songs.
Highlights included "An die ferne Geliebte", the very first song cycle ever written, "Four Italian songs" on poems by Metastasio, and songs he composed after he discovered Goethe for the first time, a poet he deeply admired.
